Cadiz has built up a considerable reputation among golfers, with a wide choice of excellent and great value golf courses and Golf El Puerto is one of them. The course is quite undulating and has natural water resources which have been used to create four lakes that are linked by streams, a good test of golf in a charming course with personality and plenty of challenges, but enjoyable and fit for all kinds of players.

El Puerto Golf Course is situated in Puerto de Santa Maria near Cadiz. Designed by the golf professional Manuel Piñero, the former Spanish Ryder Cup player, Golf El Puerto is a good test of golf. The course is quite undulating and has natural water resources which have been used to create four lakes that are linked by streams. These water hazards protect some of the greens and make the accuracy of the approach shots very important.

This 18 hole par 72 course is 6,100 meters long from the yellow tees and it will provide a good test of golf to players of all handicaps. The greens are exceptional, and up to professional tour standard, numerous indigenous trees have been planted on and around the golf course and the architect have worked wonders with the terrain to create a course that can be a nice place for a pleasant social round or a venue for a professional championship.

However, the course offers much more than simply a distance test. Without blind spots but with generous fairways and greens protected by lakes, rivers and trees, this is a charming course with personality and plenty of challenges, but enjoyable and fit for all kinds of players. As it matures, it will be a charming course with a personality of it’s own. The modern and clean clubhouse offers all you would expect from an high standard facilities, the staff is friendly and courteous.
