Isla Canela Golf course is situated within a Nature Reserve where the river Guadiana reaches the Atlantic Ocean. This 18 hole Par 72 parkland golf course, which has water featuring on 10 of its holes is a challenging 6,833 yard course with small slopes formed by the natural dunes, orange, olive and eucalyptus trees situated at strategic points make this course a worthy test for all handicap levels.
The course, designed by Juan Catarineu, is successfully integrated into existing flat terrain and is very comfortable to walk. At first sight it looks like an easy golf course, but it has its hidden difficulties; it can be quite an easy and comfortable course for average players, but also hard for top-level competition.
Isla Canela is a versatile course with great tees; the club house overlooking the swimming pool provides the perfect venue for a relaxing drink following your round.
