La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links
Located in the Cadiz municipality of San Roque, close to Sotogrande in Costa del Sol, Spain. The La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links course is scheduled to open in June 2022 and will run along the beachfront with spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.
The Texas-based golf course architect Kurtis Bowman has redesigned the Links Course. Originally the course was designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and Rock of Gibraltar.
The renovated layout introduces new greens that are unique in Spain for their size and undulations, as well as new bunkering and strategic hazards throughout, the course is set to be a thrilling challenge for every level of golfer. A new contemporary clubhouse, driving range, and practice area have already been completed ahead of the golf course reopening.
La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links has put itself on the map among Europe’s elite golf venues after becoming the latest to join the European Tour Destination network. The network includes some of the most prestigious golf and lifestyle resorts in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, with many of the locations home to courses that consistently rank highly in international rankings. European Tour Destinations venues also host a number of prestigious tournaments, including the Ryder Cup and the DP World Tour Championship.
