Situated in the northeast of Mallorca, Canyamel Golf Club distinguishes among others by its great beauty. Designed by José Gancedo, who has respected to the maximum the natural topography of the east coast of the island, this course has 18 holes that players of all levels will enjoy.
Known as one of the more difficult golf courses on the island, each of its 18 holes poses a challenge to even expert players. The course is full of hazards, the most threatening of all being the rock walls that line the course, a typical characteristic of the Mallorcan landscape. The greens are huge and much more undulated than one would think, making putting particularly challenging.
Two maximum-difficulty holes (2/13) and curious features such as the par-4 ninth, with a rustic stone house in the middle that makes it hard to play its 320 metres in four shots; the fourth, from which you overlook the sea and can even glimpse the neighbouring island of Minorca; and the spectacular eighteenth, with a triple-tiered undulation ‘piano’-shaped green visible from the clubhouse terrace, resembling a set of stalls open to the mountain.
The views offered by Canyamel are downright spectacular, perhaps that which all golfers lucky enough to play here keep in their minds. Book a tee time at Canyamel Golf Club today.
