Nestled comfortably between the Med and the mountains, the La Cañada Golf Club is handy for anyone staying or residing in the residential area of Sotogrande. The 18-hole golf course was opened back in 1982 – its first nine holes were designed by Dave Thomas and the remaining by Robert Trent Jones.
The challenging sloping fairways and small fast sloping greens are coupled with large groves of indigenous trees and spectacular views of the Mediterranean, making an ideal golf course for those who want to be surrounded by nature as well as an enjoyable golf course.
The first hole, a par-4, can be challenging for players who cannot hit very far. There is a water hazard 170 metres from the green and out of bounds to the left. Many golfers prefer the second set of holes. The 18th hole offers the most stunning views as well as an interesting drive.
The new Andalucian style clubhouse houses a beautiful photographic collection of La Cañada golf course’s past and present in addition to the Club’s Founder Members. La Cañada golf course is a exciting challenge for players of all levels. Get your green fee for Club de Golf La Canada now.
